Latest Government Advice re opening 2021
We were due to open on the 4th January 2021, but due to the government announcement that all secondary school pupils must have a Covid test we have been advised by British Gymnastics that we can not open the club to all secondary school age children till the 11th January.
Because of this we have taken the hard decision to postpone all classes until the 11th January – the reason for this is the majority of our coaches fall into this age bracket and we wanted to make it fair on all gymnasts who attend sessions so everyone can attend.
Also as you are probably aware Southampton will go into tier 4 on Boxing Day 26th December. As the gym is classed as the New Forest at the time of writing we will be Tier 3 so we can continue to open, BUT if where you live is classed as Southampton you must not attend.
If we move into Tier 4 before the 11th January the gym club will have to close.
All invoices are going to be produced at the end of December / January so we have a better understanding of where we are and to try to get them as accurate as possible. They will be due to be paid by 30th January.
If you have been invited to attend a session on the week beginning the 4th this will now move to the relevant day the following week.
Please note we are all logging off till the 2nd January so we can have a break and recharge our batteries, any emails sent will be answered once we return. We will of course be reviewing any new guidance that comes out during this period.
We will send any further updates in the new year.
We hope you all have a lovely Christmas and stay safe.
